Does it have a split phase output? I would just wire it to a dedicated sub panel then everything off that panel is UPS protected. Are those UPSes stackable, like to combine power? That would be cool if that's the case.

yes, it's really 2 ups, each with 2 battery add on. with PDUs so I'll be plugging my computer stuff into the pdu. I am not running both of them obviously, don't need that much backup.
 
Oh no 120 at all? I kinda wondered that as I'm not aware of any UPSes that take 240 and do 120/240 or just 120. Most UPSes are dumb, they pass AC through, and only switch to inverter (square wave) when power goes out. To produce a different output or a split voltage would require an active power conversion stage. Mind you those sound like fairly high end UPSes so they might actually be dual conversion.

These are double conversion.

6 KVA lol plus whatever each battery expansion gives me.
 
Lol how much was shipping for that? Guessing it's being sent freight via Manitoulin or something? Sometimes that ends up being not too bad compared to the same weight being sent via Canada Post.

Batteries won't add KVA but it will add run time. 6KVA is going to be probably around 4-5kw so that's pretty skookum. My big UPS is only 750w. Been a while since I did a proper load test but it should run close to 4h at the current load. I only got 2h last time though but that's because I had a shorted cell... I just got rid of that battery without replacing it. I need to get some proper Surrette batteries instead of the Canadian Tire ones. They're made in Canada too so that's a bonus.

no, you have to go and grab it yourself. A production company (DHX) sold their building and have to clear out content, so they hired auction company. you win bid, you go pick up. Going tomorrow, might take awhile to take stack apart.

I have 2 1KVA UPS that need battery replacement.
