It's actually permitted to fly at night now, so that is one good thing about the new rules, they actually did loosen a lot of them up, the process to be allowed to fly is more involved but once you are allowed at least it's a bit less restrictive.

My battery was almost dead on both the drone and the controller so those are charging. Might take it out tomorrow.

Crazy hot out today, like 30C. have not seen it that hot in a long time.

Tons of power outages and other issues everywhere too. Gonna be a busy night shift.

I hope they at least send me a plastic card that looks like a driver's license so I can flash that at people. "I'm a certified UAV pilot!". I don't think so though, I just have to carry around the one I printed.

Actually wanted to take it out today to get a view of forest fire smoke (it's far but can still see from here) but got called in early to work.

Things are just starting to calm down now, lot of high temp alarms but I think I might wait those out to see if they clear overnight. I got one site at 32C so been trying to call that one in to the building contracting company but they must be swamped, no answer.

Our DMS room is hot AF too, it's 80F in there whatever that is in C. Not sure why it's not metric up there. I guess it makes sense for equipment built in the 70's. :p

Thing was I didn't even see the derailed streetcar til I was in the office. I walked out of the subway staircase and saw yellow tape but since it was raining I didn't bother to look behind me.

Lots of rain here. It's a good thing though as there is a huge forest fire a bit south from us. I usually hate rain, but we can use it now tbh. I put seeds on my lawn right before the rain started too, good timing on my part. Good time to work on my garage when I'll be off. Don't want to work in there when it's too hot.

I was intending to replace my nine year old computer this summer but with PCIe 4 and USB 3.1 artichoke rolling into more motherboards I might have to sit on my hands for a few months and see how things shake out. The new processors also suggest waiting.

Think I need to get my wisdom teeth checked out, might be time to rip them out. I can feel something clicking when I eat, and think it's that. A bit swollen too. Like not visibly but can feel it.
