Didn't realize how loud managed switches are. Configuring one in my office. In the server room it kind of just blends in with the rest of the noise.

Yay switch is ready. I put deny service ssh by error and could not seem to get rid of it so had to clear config and start over.

I'll rack it tomorrow and plug it in. It's going to be a SAN switch as I want to slowly convert my file server into a proper SAN setup where storage uses a dedicated network. Only have one VM server right now but eventually will add more. I'd like to do ISCSI but it's more complex to do that shared without using proprietary file systems so will just do NFS. Once I upgrade my UPS to dual conversion I'll even be bold and do async NFS. It's much faster, but you lose all your data if the system goes down hard.
