I really need to figure out why disk I/O in my VM environment is so bloody slow. It took about 8 hours to install Debian. I think NFS is the issue, I need to look into iSCSI.

I eventually want to do a Qemu / Gluster setup but it's super complicated to setup. I would want to write a front end to it so I don't have to do everything manually. That was my original intention but ESXi is more turn key, downside is the free version is rather limited so want to move off of it eventually and do a multi host environment.

When I build my mining rigs I'll probably have them double as VM servers. I think that should work, because the mining does not really use the CPU or ram much. So the host OS will do the mining and the VMs too. Still need to figure out the storage situation though, I just don't know why it's so slow.

Went into AT&T and showed them a copy of my dd214 to get my veteran discount. Kept trying to sell me other services while I was there. I told him that I wanted the same service(s) for a better price if they wanted me for any business. I understand sales. I am a bottom line kind of guy. Once they stop providing customer service, I am out. Love being in control.

Just got back from the store. Had to get kitty litter. Already have some on the way from Amazon. But that doesn't arrive until Wednesday. So, even though I didn't want to have to go out again.
