I'll be building a dedicated custom box. This is just a temporary test setup. I know you're obsessed with VMs but not everything can or should be virtualized. Besides you still need physical hardware for the actual VM server, so what's the point of building a VM server to serve just one purpose?

Greatest point is hiding behind hardware abstraction layer, which is like ninety percent of issues with linux.

At one point I had two different win 2003 DCs from distinct sites running off the same esxi box. I just stacked the gateway ips of both network onto the same interface on a cisco router to simulate site to site traffic.

Was doing migration to 2008 for a hospital and they wanted full simulation before proceeding.

Haha worked at a hospital too but thankfully my company paid for a parking pass so didn't have to deal with parking machines every day.

CentOS installed successfully. Ended up having to blow away the partition table manually since the installer would not do it. Going to figure out the mining stuff tomorrow.

I want to at least mine with the existing video card just to get it working while I wait for other card to come in.
