I wish others could provide service over my cable. But the cable companies have arranged monopolies/duopolies with local government. If only the government (US) would regulate them like a utility then maybe we'd see some relief from competition. Fat chance that will happen with Trump.

has been the case no matter who is in power.It's not a real monopoly. It's an agreed on duopoly that artificially limits competition. I don't mind regulation, but it needs to protect the consumers interest. Again, not gonna happen with a Trump administration. The swamp just gets deeper.

To this end, they can "give" as much money as they want to voice their "opinions". That means that their opinion matters more than mine.
