Yikes decided to take the drone for a quick flight to get storm clouds and forgot to check my ADS-B radar and there was a plane. It was way higher than would be problematic but still, I don't like to even have the drone flying if there's planes in the sky.

It's only a matter of time until someone puts lasers and C4 on a drone and flies it right into an airliner.

Yeah I really hate to see the day that people start using drones for malicious purposes. It's going to completely ruin the hobby for everyone. Here in Canada they came up with some ridiculous rules, thankfully they redacted some of them.

What I'd really like to see is some level of regulation that also allows for long range and high altitude flights, but require certain things like an ADS-B transponder. TCAS giving right of way to planes, a beacon, propeller redundancy etc... Maybe treat it kinda like a ham license. You can use a drone in line of sight but if you want to go further you need a license.

I'm looking forward to being able to continue on mine. Stupid rain lol.

I keep looking at solar stuff online too, I need to hold my horses, that's a project for later. :p My goal is to make it solar powered, for the lights and maybe accessory plug outside and a few electronics inside like backup NAS etc. Probably put security cameras on it too, easier than fishing wire through my house attic, may as well put them on the shed. I will run the wiring for all that but won't terminate it till later.
