When the Christians arrived in Taiwan they were bribing people to go to church with flour. So Christianity was know coloquially as "religion of flour"I went out for a bit, and just got home. Saw a plastic grocery bag on the porch, and thought "Uh, oh, package bomb...". I have my hands full, get up to it, and nudge it with my foot. There's a bunch of potatoes inside ???. Get my stuff put down, and look at it good. It had a flier inside from a local Methodist church. They want me to come up if I'm not busy with other churches.
Is potato bribery a thing? Have I been missing out on a good resource to get my way?! I'll start carrying a pocket full of potatoes, and the world will be mine!
