Picked up the last flat screen Samsung 55" 4K UHD TV Sams had left, they were really trying to push the curved screen ones the same size for $300 bucks more.

Picked up a Roku Premiere to try out also if the built in doesn't aqree with us, if the sammy built in runs it can put that on the one in the bedroom.

Gonna be playing around a bit I suppose.

Just getting the old 150 lb TV off the speakers and re aranging them and getting everything to work might take a day for starters :p

if this thing doesn't have DTS built in I might be miffed, but the 50" sammy I had looked at had it, seems they don't list audio on the frigging stats on the boxes.

Err that is the receiver's job.

Dammit after looking around might have paid slightly too much, but it does have DTS 5.1, and I'm not about to take it back atm.

Somewhat, I run 7.2 DTS from the computer to the AVR, I want DTS from the tv to it and have it recognized.

Somehow a cheap TV running 2.1 to the AVR wouldn't decode quite as well, I would think.

Yeah, I know, it's just a digital signal, etc etc.

The AVR already recognizes DTS from the main rig Prelude card.

Will have to see how it works out, probably have to play around once I get it up there.

Going to re arange the whole setup a bit, haven't even un boxed it yet.

The AVR is even a bit old, but is "supposed" to support 4K pass through.

I'll fight it to the death to get it to work right once I rearrange things :p

Tech grudge match.

Just fitting things in before I have taken things apart is a bit of a conundrum, the center channel speaker I have is YUGE, and want to move things around a bit.

I may have to resort to an old school ghetto cinder block and black primer solution in a place or two.

Dashcam finally arrived yesterday but it wasn't delivered to the house and no one thought it was important enough to tell me about. So now it stays at the post office until late Monday because school.

And now they're wondering why I'm annoyed no one bothered to tell me.

On reflection, might leave some of the speakers as they are and build a center speaker/TV riser stand for the top.

It would not take much work.
