They do on a 1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport in central FL, or you come out feeling like a roast turkey

Mine looks just like that, but a bit more beat up over time.

It's still shy of it's first 100K, mostly just drove it to work and back, but needs some tuning up.

Those old Jeeps were great. The newer Jeeps are too delicate and I would not trust one in the bush. Look at it wrong and there goes a ball joint.
