i have K702's just used them last night, i like them but i always want better headphones

i probably should get a headphone amp instead of just driving them off of my receiver

i also use Sony XB1000 for songs with a lot of bass, those are cool headphones, just not very detailed

never tried those, but they appear to be in a much lower price range so they are probably not as good

if you have K702s the K712s wouldnt really be a decent enough upgrade, the K812s might be though.

you really should, the K702s have a 62ohm impedance, most devices like phones or computers are built for much lower powered headphones (16-32ohms) so getting a decent amp would certainly help.

Yeah, but it depends on the receiver what kind of power it's ouputting, some of the cheaper ones will only power 16ohm ear buds, others will have the ability to power full 600ohm headphones, just depends.
