I've been up since 10am yesterday... Fuck working and going to school full time each. I am 10 minutes until home and I'm sleepy as fuck.

I can't stay awake for more than about 14 hours.

Military, bro. You get used to it and can do it on command.

Now that I'm home, I'm probably going to bust out a few hours on NBA 2K13 on the PC and then help my wife pack our apartment for our move very soon. Looks like I'll not be sleeping until midnight tonight, which is 8 hours away.

I did 61 hours starting from two days before battle-stations. Since a couple of the guys on the watchbill were kicked out of our division in basic training right before battle-stations, section leaders had to man the watch to not lose automatic promotion of pay-grade.

I cant tell you how amazing it felt once I completed the final stage of basic training completely fucking tired. When I left there I felt like I would have earned the respect of past and future sailors alike if they knew how bad it really was for me.

Not to mention I was on week 5 of pneumonia, and had dropped from 197 to 168 pounds during my time there.

After doing 38 straight i am fairly confident I could have done at least another 10-12 hours if not longer, but honestly it's not something I would want to do very often :p

Unless I had the same things riding on it, I'd NEVER, EVER do it. Civilian job (unless it's my own company), hell no.

G.I. Bill, over a year of active duty pay, learning a new trade, becoming a non-commissioned officer out of school... Yeah. I did everything I could to keep it.
