The appealing factor is that I'll be able to sell my current build at cost at the end of June. 😀

I'm hearing the GTX 680 isn't nVidia's true high-end card -- that will apparently be out in August. Maybe I'll hold off and see.

but we're using thin clients, not real desktops, and I don't have rights to do anything other than launch remote desktop.

Worked on friends computer. Forgot how clunky Office 2003 was. Once you get used to that command ribbon its hard to go back.

I used to think like that, but once you get used to the ribbon, it isn't so bad. It still drives me nuts in Sharepoint, however.

everyone tells me I should keep my laptop in my carry-on, and I guess I'll bow to the collective wisdom of the masses, but it's kind of annoying, as I have no intentions of using my laptop on the plane and it's one more thing to have to lug around.

I'm thinking I should be safe for my in-flight entertainment with my kindle fire (and 2-3 books loaded up) and gameboy (with 2-3 games).

I do need to remember to buy the headphone adapter for my DS, though, and maybe a Professor Layton game.
