feels shady when a hotel advertises a low price but don't mention that it's $15/day for wireless internet and $25/day to park. extra $200+taxes on a 5-night stay.

my buddy at work got taken by one of those "$499 all expenses paid" Florida vacations. Besides having to sit through 2 time share pitches, he got hit up for $300 in taxes and a bunch of other charges.

you guys are boring

sorry, busy planning for my LA trip.

if I arrange the car/hotel packaged together via expedia, it's roughly the exact same cost as doing it separately.

but I wonder if I'd get better service/accommodations by going to the vendors directly instead of through a third party.

always

I always wondered what would happen if you called them and tried to get them to pricematch expedia.

On a related note...a bunch of my friends work for booking.com. You should use them.

I have even more friends that work for Farmers/21st Century, so you should use them for insurance.

expedia is a client of my company's, so they're always my first stop (even if I don't get a discount).

I was strongly suggesting that my friend who works for Enterprise hook me up with a discount, but he didn't take the bait and I feel weird asking him directly.
