Good advice. Boss is sorta busy right now as the salespeople where apparently related to this project. If I can survive until the end of the day I can try and unravel my clusterfuck during the long weekend.

That, or be proactive and go in there and tell him what happened and say "Here is what I'm doing to fix it." Most bosses are OK if an employee comes in and says "I screwed up" and wants to fix the issue.

Well admitting my own mistakes is one of the things I hate most, but I like your advice so I'm going to follow it.

Better prepare to talk to the boss, neff out.

At McDonald's a while back, I worked with one of my best friends. He was getting written up for eating on the line again. This was like his 5th write up in the last month, so it was pretty clear that he was going to get fired. So as the overly pudgy manager gets in his face about eating on the line, he takes the half of filet of fish he was eating and I shit you not, he shoves it in her mouth and ran out of the store. I never laughed so hard in my life.

Just say you're sorry, but you messed something up and want to fix the problem. I've had to do that a few times and I never got yelled at or berated. Plus, he'll appreciate you telling him now rather than waiting a few days, especially if you weren't able to fix it on your own.

It's really a good tool to have. It's hard to say you've fucked up.
