Eww. 720p is so 2006.

Shut your beloved patriot.

Most people can't tell the difference. At 8 feet. I can guarantee it. We had a vendor who had nearly identical displays but one was 720 the other 1080.

Using a Denon DBP-2012UDCIP
Playing Transporter 3, Toy Story 3, and Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.

No one from my office could repeatedly pick the correct set.

Well, sure, looking at the television is the best judgment... and there's no good way to do that. You can't judge a television for your house by looking at a wall with fifty of them in a building with ten thousand watts of overhead lighting.

Yeah a good 720p display can still look fantastic. When you get up to screen sizes in the 60in range though 1080 starts to become noticeable.

As tech folks we need to STOP only looking at specifications. That's not the only factor.

for example canon c300 vs RED

The RED cameras kick canon's ass when it comes to specs but shot side by side the canon looks better.

I no longer have a RED savings fund...

This why it's nice to have friends who buy newer tv's.

Also buy from a place with a good return policy.

About what I suspected from skimming a few of your threads.

Pretty sure he's on thin ice with the mods. Pull up some samples of him harassing you in large numbers of your threads/posts, and put it up in mod discussions.

Yeah I could but I never like rocking the boat or going "crying" to the mods. Not that I haven't done it in the past. I'll keep quiet about it for now. Will see how much longer he keeps hounding me.

Again! Why is this such a ridiculous statement? Is HD cable not in 720p? Does it stretch out just fine? 😕

Stretch? If the Tv is 720p set and it's getting 720p then it's fine.
Set..| Source | Result
720..| 720.....| No problems
720..|1080p...| No problems
1080| 720.....| No problems
Jesus Allah.....| No problems
