It's always fun to meet people on vacations who took the plunge at the "briefly consider never going back" stage and actually never went back. You meet ex pats overseas who have been living there for years, in some cases on very small incomes (or even just winging it over the years). Fun.

I figure I'll have almost $1000 set aside for a PC upgrade in a few months. Only $300 or so coming out of pocket. The rest coming from selling stuff and Christmas money. Not like I need to upgrade, god knows I don't, but lots of people sink money into some crazy hobby, right? Mine's hardware for now.
