Yeah. When I bought my Acura RDX the first dealership (Acura Carland of Duluth) didn't take me seriously and the guy started getting really rude when I started to work on the pricing.
I didn't say a word and walked out.
The next day drove to another dealer (Jackson Acura Roswell, GA) great service. Worked with me on price and extras.

Drove back to the 1st dealership the next day. Asked to speak to the manager. Told him what happened. On my way out the receptionist was calling the sales guy's name over the intercom. :awe:

Funny thing is I've seen this guy at the store and he's been there a long time.
 
In my situation i think two things were at play:
1) age (18)
2) That dealer is known to give asians preference. I want to say Korean but not 100% sure.

Wish I had know about that before.

In my case aside from having been there browsing a lot I was wearing my NCIX shirt, just got off work. Maybe he thought I was showing off, or being a smart ass or something?

Maybe he was racist against, or had bad experiences with, Indians?

I know how to deal with East Asians who want to play hard ball but I still find it unpleasant and would rather not deal with these customers. Usually it's first generation people who are the worst. Not to be racist but I've had some pretty unpleasant sales experiences with some Indian customers, again mostly older people. Nothing personal. Had some fantastic Indian customers too!!
