I see potential win here.

Hotter, yes.
Interested, yes.

But hey, if I stop being a standard issue male pig, who do you like more? Who do you think you'd be happier with on an ongoing basis? Who would be a better/more compatible friend?

Hell, you think you and your girlfriend are bored with each other a bit? Or is this going to become a permanent thing?

I hope this is a "grass is greener on the other side" type thing

I still want her to break up with her BF. He's too boring for her. Literally keeping her from having a good time in college.

He's got to be good a sex. He's horrible socially. Looks rough. and is too controlling

Women stay with bad men for no rational reason. Not for money, not for a big dick, not for social skills, not for treating them well... just because when it comes to choosing bad men for them, women are completely fucking insane.

Signed,
A witness to more of this shit than I care to recall.

Recent: A's boyfriend leaves town with some friends, calls her, is a dick via phone, his friends are egging him on, they end up in a massive fight, he never ever apologizes for anything to her. She ends up going over the night he gets home and fucking him, and somehow everything is kosher again.

Longer ago: ....nah, fuck it. I'm not telling that one.

DUDE YOU HAVE THE POWER. You need to comfort her. Get drunk together. Then drunkenly accidentally let it slip that they should break up. Wait 2 weeks then offer to take her out on a date

More compatibility = winning.
Can't decide, yet not in the relationship yet, sounds like potential win to me.

What thing? - is your relationship with your current girlfriend possibly going to become permanent, i.e. a shiny rock, a few sappy vows, and the last mile down the aisle? If you see no hope of that, and that sort of a future appeals to you, 1) seek therapy, and 2) time to move on.

1) This is a past event, a few months ago.
2) She's usually distant about these sorts of things.
3) They've been together for about five years.
4) It would not function.

Honestly I think we need a bit of distance. I hate that I spend all of my time with her. But the way we've built up our relationship turning back now would be catastrophic

Living next door, yeah, kinda a mess. Whatever. You put the ball in new girls court, see what she does.
