I already finished my projector headlight conclusion. The modification itself costs about $200, the bulbs add another $80, but if I don't do projectors, it's still $80 for bulbs.

Tires!

Let us first acknowledge that the WS-70 holds an edge over the Xi2 on ice.
Let us also acknowledge that the WS-70 holds an edge over the Xi2 in snow, especially deeper snow.
However, on clear roads, dry roads, et cetera, the Xi2 will be quieter, better handling, and generally feel more like an all season tire than the WS-70.

I do not like that the Xi2 is "Green X", Michelin's low rolling resistance, because low rolling resistance has only one real drive - you sacrifice traction.

To me, a minor increase in fuel efficiency is not worth a minor decrease in traction. In fact, a moderate increase in fuel efficiency is not worth a minor decrease in traction.

However, it should be noted - my previous winter tires were 225 instead of 215, making them marginally wider, which is not a good thing on snow. A 4% difference?

It should be also noted my previous winter tires were down to about 4/32" tread, which is roughly the limits of snow tires, and may have, in fact, been lower than that. Therefore, any new snow tire, with tread depth of 10/32 or 12/32 (WS-70 only), will outperform worn snow tires.

Well alfa, the wife was not mad when I told her I ordered the cigars. Her only comment was: "You're not going to smoke those inside, are you?"

Nice! I've cut back on smoking them. Too expensive. Down to one or two a month. In fact I might smoke one now.

I probably should go workout though...

Also, the WS-50, even new, is with 99% certainty a lesser performing tire than a five year newer Xi2 design. I believe the WS-60 and Xi2 are a near match.

Which also implies the WS-70 is better than the Xi2, and that implies Michelin should be working on the Xi3.
