So if this is the baseline for my life that's awesome. I'm figuring out life the way I should. Making things perfect piece by piece.

One day, you'll look back on this time, laugh, and wish you could come back to this time. It goes downhill from here.

Well that's the thing. As humans we can control out happiness. SO all I've done here is set a baseline. An absolute low. From now on either I am just as happy as I am now or happier.

You can't say this is the absolute lowest, that's my point. Life is full of unfortunate circumstances you can't control. In the grand scheme of things, I'm damn lucky -- while I think I should've done more in life, I can say that I support myself well, have a nice house, good wife, never been laid off, and make enough money to afford some luxuries and vacations.

But I still focus on where I am in life and I'm not happy with that and think I should've done more. On the other hand, I look at how I could accomplish more and it will require lots of hard work (which I don't mind) and lots of long, hard hours (which I definitely do mind). It is a tradeoff and even at nearly 41 years of age, I can't decide if I'm making the right decision(s). It is so much easier to say "Screw it, I'm pretty well off now so I might as well enjoy life and not take something with more stress" and keep this course.

I spent all of my history class doing math on my notebook.

Calculations that can be done on a calculator in about a minute, took me 20-30 minutes by paper. But that was the idea, burn the time away, because honestly, he's not going to teach me anything new.

And yes, I'm still totally ignoring life philosophy discussions. I'm not terribly depressed today, so I'll stick my head in the sand, and play with numbers.

I wish we had a forum for life philosophy discussions honestly. I could use the discourse and help.

Anyways, the iPhone is a 3.5" display, with 960 by 640 resolution. (3:2)

Now, that's seriously fucking amazing. I can see pixelization on my phone, which is a massive 4.3", but only 800x480. (3.33:2).

So what do we do? Sketch a triangle, 960 by 640, and go for the hypotenuse. Square the sides, add them, and root them on paper.

For those who aren't doing the numbers themselves, that sum is 1331200, and my square root was 1160. The real square root is 1153.78. I think that's accurate enough.
