Me too. I had a really good childhood and I miss it. I also grew up in an awesome time.

Meh my childhood was okay. I never had toys or things of the like till I was 11 or 12. I had plenty of friends though. One benefit of living in an apartment complex.

Just saw this. The only thing I can really say is that it won't get any easier as you get older. I think about how much I miss being younger and living in the 80s on a daily basis. I think that's why I enjoy my older, retro hardware as it brings back so many memories.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. Even with Facebook is active, it just reminds me of getting to see my friends at high school on a daily basis, instead of almost never, effectively never, or never again.

There are days I'm tempted to delete it. It used to be the best way to get pictures of dumb drunk sluts, now I can get better ones, just of chicks I'll never meet. The only thing it's really left for is bad memories.

I did not enjoy my childhood, I enjoy it less now, but it was still better than what I have now.

My parents are the prototypical hover parents....

This is just depressing.

I'm off to visit my therapist.

What movie was it where they had a hat you could put on and it would make you dream about whatever you wanted? Was it Total Recall? I'd be happy if something like that were invented because I could relive much of my life and enjoy it again.

I often wonder what it would be like if I could go back in time -- say, 1981 or even later when I was in high school like 1987. I'd wager there would be a lot of small, little things that I don't remember now but would amaze me when I saw them.

Met my best friend in 2nd grade. Lol he was a bit short then and I though he was younger than me. That was when my childhood turned around.

Joining the Marine Corps was the best thing for him. Sucks though. I get to see him a few times a year. I hope this new business of mine evolves. It would be great to bring him in. We've shot so many different shoots together it's a bit crazy...lol

Hi!

I'm ignoring any and all discussions regarding friends and Facebook, and will continue to do so, for at least the rest of the night.

Two nights ago, I woke up around 4 AM with an excruciating pain from my right ear. Well, it's back again, not quite as bad, but quite bothersome. And it's inside my ear, which makes it difficult to track down a problem. It's now actually radiating through my cheek down to my jaw.

My room is a mess. Background: my computer is slightly left of center on a 9' wide counter.

At left, I have a small stack of school notebooks and textbooks at the edge. Behind that is a two square foot pile of papers 2-3" deep, mostly letters, i.e. credit card offers and such.

At left, but underneath the counter, are two big boxes with forgotten contents, and a small pile of plastic and crumpled papers. I'm not quite sure what's down there. This occupies about five square feet.

At right, below the counter, is the computer tower, router, power cables, backpack, a couple old textbooks, and an inch thick stack of paper.

At right, on the counter, is the worst part.

It covers about nine square feet, featuring a dozen paperbacks, about ten empty or half-empty water bottles, three pairs of gloves, some LED's in antistatic bags, a few spare cables, some CD's, a couple dozen pens, a few small boxes, and predominantly papers. The pile sits 4-8" high. There must be several hundred sheets of papers in there.

Not quite done! The two white drawer units are actually in decent shape inside, I don't open them often, but the tops are covered with all sorts of random stuff, tons of receipts, some cash, loose change, and other odds and ends that didn't have a home.

Oh yeah, then I have my workshop waiting.

It's in the basement, and the counter is covered with heaped debris from the last computer build. Under the counter is shelving, which is loaded with computer part boxes, and a few boxes of scraps, plus my detailing stuff, and an old dorm fridge. The mess has taken over part of the floor too.
