Just saw a random post on a FB aviation group of someone that build their own airstrip. I'm not even into aviation, but damn, that's life goals right there. That would be pretty awesome. I could fit one a little over 1,000 feet long on my off grid property if I really wanted to. That is one hell of an expensive hobby to get into though, but I do actually see light planes for sale here sometimes and they're about the price of a car, so not even that crazy. The licensing is what really costs a lot of time and money though.

I think I will buy Microsoft Flight Simulator instead. :p

John Denver. But seriously, I bought Flight Simulator 2000 because it was the one that Al-Qaida used to train. You could actually fly planes into buildings. Microsoft changed all that after 9/11.

I'm a little surprised that Helene and Milton would take such different tracks. What I mean to say is that despite the agreement among the spaghetti mods (models that are super skinny - kidding), we shouldn't be too surprised if the hurricane comes ashore further North.

However it's so much more powerful than Helene. I know that ultimately weather patterns depend primarily on atmospheric conditions. But if, for whatever reasons, it does a dogleg to the North, who's going to tell it 'no bueno?'
