I think the Weather Network is having technical issues. The weather has not updated since 4 hours ago. I just happened to check and notice it says 20 and sunny and checked a few other towns for fun and seems to be the same.

Guessing they have a poller that checks all the weather stations and that poller has failed.

Maybe the weather just hasn't changed?

I setup an old web cam to check on the wood stove fire when I'm working from home so I don't have to leave my desk as often. Noticed something interesting, the flue kind of glows on camera. I think that's actually from the IR being generated from the heat and the camera picks it up.

If I could find a filter that filters out visible light but not IR this could be a rather interesting way to make a really crude FLIR camera.

Got some good news today. Called my ISP (Spectrum) and worked out a deal to lower my internet cost by $35. The biggest difference (besides the price) is the offering of symmetrical speed. I've been happy with my internet for quite some time. But now the rep is saving me a lot of money and offering me 400/400.

Currently, I have been getting less than 10Mbps up. That sucks for my Plex Server. I would love up speed. Only problem is I have to use their modem. My current Surfboard will not give me more than 100Mbps up. I imagine 400Mbps up would be amazing for responsiveness. I remember how much a boost using an SSD for a boot drive would have on my server.

You can see here that the upload improved greatly just by upgrading to symmetrical. What are your guys bandwidth?

Damn I can't imagine getting that much speed, would be fun but would cost an arm and a leg here. The highest they offer here is 250/30 for a couple hundred a month. I'm on 80/30 myself and pay just under a hundred. I don't really need more speed, and that's the lowest package they have.
