Heh - MotF already beat me to it. I have wanted to see if a flex duct with inline fan hooked up to the side or rear vent would successfully exhaust the hot air into another room though...

Logically, it should, although that would be somewhat dependent on whether your case is negative or positive pressure. I would believe that a negative pressure computer would fare better with that sort of a vent, but if you are indicating the fan is a solid-metal construction that is part of the duct assembly, that will far outstrip the computer's own fans.

1) ING Savings - $3000
2) Sharebuilder - $4000
3) Bank of America - $3000
4) Income, now to end August - $1500
Total = $11500.

School bill: $11000
Student loan: $6000
Gap: $5000 (full year, $2500/semester)

Summer expenditures: $2000

Remaining savings: $4500. The stock market fund goes untouched, barring the government annihilating it with their idiocy.

School year income: $200/2wks, so $100/week. That covers eight months of the year, so about $3200, which means, stretched over the whole year, about $266/month.

From that $266/month, I figure to aim for a car loan of $100/month. My other expenses are pretty low, and my summer job is very stable, and can cover the non-loan portion of school.

Using my previous manipulations of the car loan formula, I know that P = 43.86 * M, where P is principle, M is monthly payment, the interest rate is 4.49% (applicable on vehicles newer than 2005), and the term is 48 months (applicable on vehicles newer than 2005, required for the 4.49%).

100 * 43.86 + 4500 = $8886. :(

If I want to, I might be able to double my hours at the card store. I'm on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday nights right now, 4 PM to 8 or 8:30, depending on the season.

I might be able to add Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday nights. So I'd end up working nights there six times a week, starting in the early afternoon, which might screw up my attempt to make a school schedule (probably will), and may be a problem for doing homework, eating dinner normally, or sleeping.

On the other hand, that would double my income to some $533/month (over the full year), and I could feasibly bump the car loan payment up to half of that, since there are no obligations on the increase. So that's $11667. Which would be a hell of a lot better, and go from not even affording a Mazda 6, to a nice Mazda 6, or even a slightly worn Mazdaspeed3, or a Nissan Altima 3.5 SR.
