One of the younger ferals spent about the past half hour at the skipjack tuna bowl and consumed most of the 2 cans. They're not normally that greedy since the other kitties tend to come along fairly quickly and butt in. But today, he must have been in kitty heaven.
It's an expensive treat for me. Over a hundred bucks per month if I give it to them most days. But they really seem to love it. And since I know that they're probably going to have a rough winter, I want to get them as plump as possible.
I do have a couple of heated pet mats in the shed but I won't hook that up until the lawn guys finish for the season since I have to run the heavy cable over the ground. I could probably bury it but having it completely disconnected makes me quite a bit more comfortable. Plus, they need to be encouraged to work on their winter coats.
