Getting something in a random orbit is not THAT hard, it's getting it to stay there that's harder, if it does a couple orbits before it starts to re-enter, you technically achieved orbit. :p Though with an amateur grade budget the best you can probably do is get near orbital height. There is a minimum size of rocket you would need to make orbit. But my point being, even if I wanted to attempt or see what it takes I would not even know where to start calculating all this. There's tons of math involved.

Np, getting something into orbit requires a lot of energy. A rough number is 32 Mega Joules to get 1kg mass to LEO.

Bed time nef.

Hopefully my garage floor dries fully by tomorrow afternoon for epoxy. I still get a bit of a film on my finger when I rub it so technically I would need to rinse it again but concrete is kinda hard to make perfect you can do it 20 times there will always be something. Hopefully the epoxy will adhere fine. A little worried about the temp though, only suppose to be 13 tomorrow and it's probably the last warm day this year where I'll be off. I don't get much days off this month. Don't want to wait too long either as more dust will get a chance to settle on the concrete.

So yeah I will have to just bite the bullet and hope for the best.
