Pretty much

I have been in both camps. I just want the best performance/$$. Don't care about who makes the chip. I would love to buy AMD once again. I've been with Intel since 2009. If they're competitive, then I'll evaluate my usage needs and what kind of deals I can get.

I buy pre-builds and have always had Intel CPUs. I can't get too excited about new CPUs when my six year old i7 smokes every workload I run. I suppose something I do could run faster but I wouldn't expect any quality of life changes from a new CPU. On graphics I've used AMD and Nvidia. Thinking about it, I've probably used more machines with Hercules graphics than any other brand. :) The 1070 I bought last summer is the first GPU I've gotten excited about since the Number 9 Revolution card.
