Oh right when I went to see NASCAR it was super hot. Was in Michigan in summer, it's as far south as I've ever been. Sun burned badly, ouch.

Hottest average month there is 85F. Today was 90F here and that was a nice break from the heat.

I'm not calling you a wimp or anything, I realize we both live in extremes (I'd freeze in October there) but I'm honestly surprised you got sunburned. Aren't your summer days longer because you're farther north?

Also It's kinda surprising to me that you've never been farther south than that. Michigan is the far north here lol.

No, it's because he is ginger.

Michigan is not void of sunlight. You can get sunburned in the Artic.

It was probably like 90F when I was there actually, I know it was a really hot day. Anything over 80 for me is quite hot. I sunburn even here so it was that much worse further south, I'm a ginger so it does not take me much to sunburn. :p I find I'm even less tolerant of heat now than when I was younger, I find I get really uncomfortable and sweaty at anything close to 80 or higher. I'll take -40C over +40C. -40C is brutal too mind you, but you can dress for it, or just stay inside like any sane person does at that temp.

Interestingly our days are very long here in summer, though it's short lived. Daylight becomes visible around 3:30am and sun is up till around 10pm. It's kinda surreal actually. But then most of the year it's dark by 5pm.

Just realized I totally dodged a bullet tonight.

One of the regions we monitor had a tornado warning, but it just kinda passed and was a non event. I did not even see any power outages.

Not that much could be done about stuff going down when the entire building that houses the equipment is no longer there. "Did you try reseating the card?"

Then not much time till I leave for family vacation... don't really feel like going, I guess it will be fun once I get there, I just find it gets hectic being with my family that long. I can take it in small doses and do enjoy spending time with them, but I still like to be able to go home after. The place does not even have enough rooms so I'll probably be sleeping on the couch in the open with everyone around. I like to have my own space.

I ordered some toys from amazon yesterday. Three LED motion detecting lights for the sides and rear of the house. A Black & Decker Auto buffer / polisher , and a set of bonnets. Last was an endoscope / bore-scope to play with :)
It that the UPS truck I hear ? is it here yet ? :p

You are missing a lasso. So motion detected, lasso perp, anal probe and polish the perpetrator's head.

So, you work in the dead of night and sleep during the day. You find the family hectic and miss your alone times. You live in the tundra and burn at the slightest bit of light.

After putting together a profile, is this you?
