Ugh freaking hate colds. Wish they had a vaccine for this shit. I don't care about the 24 hour flu, it only lasts 24 hours. Colds drag on for weeks. This is only day 2. Called in sick since I barely slept.

damned 3 year old HVAC went out pretty much a year to the day the last time it happened.

Used to have one when we bought the house lasted 20 years, this POS breaks down at least once a year.

Sucks. Whenever I get central A/C I really want to do my research and get a solid unit, I find I hear a lot about people having trouble with newer units, guess they don't make them like they used to.

Especially here, last thing I want is spending that money and it breaks down the 1 week I really need it. My portable unit has been holding well though, it's probably close to 5 years old now. It's so loud though, and it won't do the whole house, but at least will do a part of it and help bring the worse of the heat down on hot days.

Disgustingly warm weather here in Portland,OR.

88 degrees F today,82 tomorrow,and 85 degrees F on Friday.

(Topped off with 94 degrees F on Saturday,and 91 degrees F on Sunday..)

This week is going to suck,weather-wise.

Is odd the repair guy said he had almost no calls Sunday, but was so busy Yesterday he worked 12 hours and even handed a few off to another guy, even with it being a holiday. He seemed a bit surprised about it.

Pretty much agreed with him, why we waited to call till this morning.

Humidity is the biggest thing down here of course, we don't even turn the temperature below 78F.

But if the central air is off, things get sticky fast.

They should have a service where you can get dialysis and it puts your blood through some kind of radiation so it kills the cold. I would pay for that. Or heck, just put me out for like 3 weeks so when I come back the cold is gone.

My nose is all cracked at this point. And it's only like day 3 or 4 - lost count, not even a week yet. Still have a long way to go. These things usually last me about a month. I so wish there was a cure, it's ridiculous having to go through this hell.
