Today I heard a nasty scratching sound on a road and turned to look at it. Front Driver side tire flat on a FWD vehicle and the driver kept driving and normal speed

I did that once, tires sound funny in the snow depending on the consistency of that snow, and the sound can change when you get on a different road. At one point it was sounding funnier than usual, so I decided to pull over and check. All I remember seeing is a tire practically off the rim, and lot of smoke.

Got lucky that a coworker was maybe a minute behind me and gave me a ride to work then I called a toe truck from there to bring it to the garage. Got all 4 tires changed since it was probably about time anyway.

I was not that far away from work though so I could have walked, but I would have been late.
