I somewhat regret building my new machine in September. The machine I had before that (now my second machine) would still be more than adequate for me and I'd have $500 or $600 in Amazon points left to spend.
My E8400 still rocks for myself. Really just an SSD in a C2D machine and you are good to go. Unless you are doing some serious gaming or encoding etc.

Not sure what I am going to do. I'm thinking, however, that I'll just return it. Even though it is an outdoor camera, the power adapter is most certainly not an outdoor adapter so I'd either need to cut a hole in a soffit to snake the main cable through (main cable is an exterior cable), to which the power supply could connect inside the house, or go to plan B, which is to enclose the power adapter in a plastic box and have exterior cables go into it on either side.

Too much work.

My former machine was an E8400 and it was great. I should've just kept on using that, as I mainly use my PC for web surfing and the occasional MMO, though I don't think I've played a game on my PC in months.

Yeah, I basically got the rig in my sig for "free," but I could've used those Amazon points on other stuff.

I offered to give her a ride after work. However she didn't quite accept.
But am scared she will want to take me up on it. I haven't cleaned my car in forever. D:
It doesn't help that people only ride with me, maybe, once every 6 months.

I need to stop being lame ass & clean the damn thing one of these days.

Got this bent ass iPod here. Hoping I can bend it back into place, without having to dismantle the damn thing or fucking up components. It was kind of shocking that they didn't break the glass though.

I've been editing all my video game material to get ready for commentary then put on YT.
Have about 90 videos edited right now.
Have at least another 50 more to go.
Not sure if I should just edit EVERYTHING or get to something like 100 then go through all of them.

I told myself if I was going to upgrade, I'd wait to see what those 3 directional transistors Intel would bring to the table. But really for the older games I play and surfing the E8400 with an SSD flys wonderfully for me. If I do upgrade it my be just to keep my wife from complaining about the "hot computer" heating up the bed room. I told her the next PC I build would be on the low power side.

We need some number crunching on if using a computer in place of a heater is more cost effective than traditional gas heating methods or whatever.
:hmm:

Some guy was just in here offering temp services. Boss sounded kind of interested. However, this person would be being paid more than me. Not cool. Unless that means he'll be paying me more than this temp person.
6mo here now. I've been updating my resume, but it's kind of ugly.
He hasn't gone for getting interns in the past, so not sure he'll go with this either.

I didn't even look at this iPod until I sat down to see why it wasn't charging.
Fucking entire data/charger port thing is completely DESTROYED.
Holy fuck!
Not sure if that component is even replaceable.
