My friends wife bought 4 dresses for a funeral 14 months ago. Last Saturday she decided to try and take 3 of them back. Never worn still had the tags etc, but come on, 14 months later?

In this case, I'm just going to get a Kohl's card out of it. That's OK. I may save that and regift it to my wife. :awe:

My youngest brother got me a gift card to Logan's Roadhouse (a steak chain). The problem is that we really don't like Logan's and only eat there if we're desperate for a steak and can't cook one ourselves or are too lazy to go elsewhere. He has gotten me this same thing 3 fucking years in a row. After the first year, I politely mentioned (months after Xmas) that we didn't really care for Logan's and next year, please don't get it. Year #2, I got the same thing and mentioned it again, though I wasn't as polite. I got it this year and just shook my head. He is getting it back for his birthday and I am not even taking the time to change the TO: and FROM: fields on it.

I don't want to seem ungrateful, but when someone gets you something 3 years in a row and each time you've told them not to do it, you have to take it either as 1) They're too lazy to put any thought into a gift and are doing what is easiest for them or 2) They know you don't like it and are doing it to insult you.

I'm not one who normally gets upset, but when I buy this kid new monitors, graphic cards, etc. and I get stuff like that, I just want to say "Fuck the holidays."
