ATOT men: How long have you used your current wallet?

Was cleaning out my wallet recently, and ran across a Metro pass that I've kept ahold of from one of my trips to Washington D.C. back in the day. I didn't think much about it until I realized it was in the summer of 1998 when I obtained that Metro pass. That's 8 years ago! :Q I then started trying to think when I got the wallet in the first place. My grandma got it for me as a Christmas present either the holiday of 97 or possibly even 96.

With my wallet being 8 1/2+ years old, it's held up very, very well. Not sure what brand (I'm thinking it was a "upsacle" WalMart brand), but it's leather, and isn't showing any signs of tearing or breaking in any way. My fiance has bugged me to get another one for a few years now, but until I lose it or it tears in half, I'm keeping it.

Have you guys had similar luck with your wallets?

I get a new one every couple years. After a couple years they always manage to get thrown in the wash and after that, they are never the same.

Mine's been washed a few times, still going strong.

About 4 years. Found a trolley ticket from Singapore in it a few weeks ago that has been there for about 4 years.

2 years, and it has tears in it. Nautica leather wallet. I don't see it lasting more than another year.

I had a Coach one that lasted 8 years. I'm going back to Coach; even if it is expensive, it's worth it.

I'm thinking it has been at least 8 maybe 9 years. It is a bifold Wilson's Leather wallet. A Christmas gift from my mother. It is certainly showing its age. The outside of the wallet is all cracked and very well worn around the corners. The inside has several rips along the sides where cards go. The plastic credit card holder is falling apart. I was cleaning out my wallet last week when I really noticed the condition of the wallet. I only have a couple of weeks for my birthday. Maybe I'll drop a hit or two. 😉

At a minimum, 5 years ago, but I really cant remember.

Same for me.

My godfather gave it to me as a present, but I can't remember the year. I know it was atleast 5 years ago though. Apart from some cosmetic damage on the hinge, there's no problems at all with it.

8 years...it's lambskin and I purchased it from a little hole-in-the-wall shop while I was passing thru Poland.

brother got it for me 6 years ago. nice coach brown leather wallet. leather is stlll smooth and soft. will probably use it for another 6 years or so.

Probably around 15-20 years, if by "used", you mean, I have my social security card, birth certificate, and an old license in it, and have it in a dresser drawer. I hate carrying a wallet, so I don't.

Wow, I think that actually is the most even poll I have ever seen here.
Maybe 6 years here, which reminds me, I need to get a new one today.

less than a year. My last few wallets have lasted me less than a year each, so I got a Coach wallet hoping it would actually last a few years.
