Going to San Antonio on Thursday. Anyone has any recommandations? Looking at a 4 days trip and I don't want Mickey Ds everyday. (looking for tast inexpensive food)

Taco Cabana is fast food, but still really good.

Dick's is a really interesting restaurant, decent food, decent price, but fun.

You got here before me on telling about Dick's.

I like that place...kind of laid-back, good collection of beers and drinks, good and cheap food and top that of with funny wait-staff.

I recommend Dick's on River Walk.

Was just about to say that. 🙂 Do they still have the lobster thing?

A small list I like.

Burgers: Chris Madrid's, Chesters, Babe's.
BBQ: The County Line, Tom's Ribs, Rudy's
Tex-Mex: Pico de Gallo, Guajillo's(I think but I can't spell it right) at Blanco and IH 410.

Avoid the Alamo Cafe, the Malt house, and Chacho's unless you are not there for the food.

Decent local fast food:
BBQ: Bill Millers, Grady's Bar-B-Que
Fish: Barnacle Bills, Sea Island
Taco Cabana
Freebirds (large burritos)

And there is a Joe's Crab shack right next door. When I was in SA, I got a shirt from Dick's that read "Remember the Alamo, Hell, I don't even remember my name."

Classic.
