ATOT member got robbed in London?

A couple of weeks ago I gave a Google Wave invitation to an ATOT user. Today, I checked my inbox and got this email from the user's Gmail account:

"Hello

Am sorry this had to come in a hurry due to the urgency of my situation .am in some terrible situation and need your help urgently.please..
Am stuck in London and need help flying back home. i was robbed while on vacation here.my phones,cash ,and cards were taken at gunpoint .it's such a scary experience .right now , we just need assistance getting back home asap.
Please I just need you to loan me some money to get our flight tickets back home...promise to refund you as soon as i get back
Please get back to me and let me know

I can't confirm whether this is real or not, but has anyone seen similar messages?

Haha.. I thought so. I was going to reply back and see if he can get in touch with his country's embassy. London is a pretty well known place, so there should be a couple of embassies around.
