I need to figure out how to make it work on my main box. The headset didn't work in CS:S so I don't know if it's just CS:S or if it's the jack for my mic. I'm talking through one box and posting on another.

Not hooked up :9

my intel board came a header BUT it did not work with the augigy Card I had 🙁

So perhaps I just need a new sound card 🙂

Similiar thing happened to me. My onboard sound speaker port wasn't working but microphone was. So I bought a cheapie SoundBlaster Live! 24 bit and it works now.

Broadband needed?

Sure I have plenty of speed to the computer that is doing the posting, but MY link to that computer is not fast and has 800mS latency. Guess that won't work.

Sorry, no high-ping users (including dialup). It just doesn't work well, unfortunately.

Sorry, no low-ping users (including dialup). It just doesn't work well, unfortunately.

you mean high ping users 😛

high = longer time
low = shorter time

Actually, it was already changed above (a high ping user, are you?).

Sorry, multitasking quite a bit produces such anomalies.

No you don't understand. Sorry for my rather poor explanation. If I want to use direct http access it's $0.75 per minute. I'm working on a resolution for this but <ahem> certain individuals won't budge. My wife asked me to keep the peace and I will agree until my <sanity> becomes thin. At least I have a fresh supply of Thomas' English Muffins this week. 🙂

Anyways, I run through port 3389 directly to one of our Citrix servers and then use RDP to connect to my workstation where I use Firefox. If I were really at my workstation in person it would work well since there is a recording studio there and you would hear me like people on TV. 🙂

I had to fight to get my mic to even work on this computer, I have it amplified all the way! 🙁

Well I don't know why but I fubar'd it again so I'm just going to run ventrilo on one tower and nef on the other.
