Today i was skiing, and I tried to hop over an S rail about 2 feet high, well my left ski didnt' quite clear it and i turfed hard. I landed on my right clavicle bone. Now it hurts like hell and is kind of poking out a little bit. and when I lift my shoulders up (like you would do when showing off biceps) it like pops and slides back somewhere.

Anyway yeah, it hurts, my shoulder is fine though a little sore. I'm just wondering if this is one of those things like ribs where it will just have to heal itself. I'm not fond of the doctors.

Go to the doctor. Having things poke out when it isn't normal is not good.

This reminds me of one of those teen help commericals, they have kids asking stupid questions "is it bad to have unprotected sex", "i think im pregnant what do i do, then theres one thats like "i broke my arm, should i go see a doctor"....what kinda idiot asks a stupid question like that...

I don't understand the fear of doctors. Are you afraid they might *gasp* help you?

Dude, when you're 10 years old and a doctor tells your mom he wants to operate on your balls because he thinks there is something wrong with them and puts you through a couple hours of hell when there is really nothing wrong at all, it kind of puts you off.

Better to err on the side of caution.

And even if it was a bad doc, you let just one bad one make such an impression that you endanger yourself by not going to one?

Why even ask for advice here if you trust the bellowings of forum geeks over those of a learned professional?

Going to the Doctor= Fixed collar bone and maybe some cool drugs.
Not Going to the Doctor= Pain and possible permanent damage.

Broken ribs heal by themselves because they are help in place by other ribs and tissue. The collarbone supports the whole arm and if injured has difficulty healing leading to a possible permanent injury.

IF YOU THINK IT IS SERIOUS ENOUGH TO POST HERE THEN IT IS SERIOUS ENOUGH TO SEEK PROFESSIONAL HELP!

Maybe all the dudes posting their YAGT girl trouble problems should take this under consideration.
