Went to have a physical done this morning and the nurse that took my blood pressure marked me down as 100 / 50. I said that seems kind of low and she kinda just went "eh" (didn't seem like the sharpest tool in the shed) and I figured it was nothing. I should have asked the doctor that did my physical, but he had my chart in front of me where it said my blood pressure and didn't make a note of it so I'm guessing it's not bad.

But I was reading online about blood pressure being basically how efficient the heart pumps blood around your body. Well if it's low, does that mean it's not working as efficient as it should be? My resting heart rate (just took it now) is 82, but I've always seemed to have a high pulse no matter what.

While I know it's a lot better than high blood pressure, anyone have experience with hypotension?

(Take childishness elsewhere please).

Low pressure is generally good. I have low blood pressure. People with low blood pressure generally live longer than people with high blood pressure or average, which is why MDs are usually not concerned with low blood pressure.

If you aren't passing out or getting dizzy then I wouldn't worry about.

<---- Not a doctor. My BP is 90/60 and my doc pretty much high fived me for having it at that level.
