Sounds like a good idea, just the sheer numbers of geeks on this site should provide some revolutionary idea.
Count me in as long as it isn't a Segway knockoff.

Ok I though about this and I see some problems. Usualy a company is started by a handfull of people and grows with time. Now this would be the exact contrary, it would strt with alot of people and no established way of making money..... Anyways i dont know. If this is to work you almost need to have a few people do the work and most of the others as consultants of investors of some kind untill it can grow. Bah the more I think about it the more I see it as a managing nightmare.....

Ok.. I think we are a go.
In this thread we need to start discussing the process that we need to take to get the private thread started. Do we need a non-disclosure to join the private thread as it stands now? Should we open the private thread to discuss where we will discuss our product, or should we discuss it there?
I feel that we should do our brainstorming in the private thread, but in order to join a non-disclosure should be signed so non of the ideas thrown out there can be stolen..
let me know how you feel..

Just because he's proposing it now and people are jumping in doesn't mean all need to be admitted now. Just starting with the idea people, adding the technical, and then lastly adding sales, PR, etc, would work. You have a good point though.
