If I am hired by a party that owns a computer to place tracking software on it (think spectre like software) in order to monitor family computer behavior and train him/her how to use it, am I in any way culpable for it's misuse?

I've been asked to do this, and I've got them on hold while I think this through. This person has alot of cash and I need the work, but this gave me pause.

This person specifically wants software that randomly takes screenshots (in the background) and logs keys/mouseclicks. It is definately his computer.

Ok, so you don't have to be a lawyer to chime in, just some general thoughts? Would you take this job? Etc. . .

It seems to me like it's the computer owner's right to monitor whatever the hell he wants - especially a father in a family setting.

I agree whole heartedly. I guess I've read too many fark articles where a divorce happens cause of this, then suddenly someone is a criminal or something. . .
