There are plenty of clever and smart people in real life. Get off your computer and go find some. Forums also allow people to contemplate what they are going to say before they say it. I doubt all these OT hardasses are nearly as witty and clever in real life.
 
After high school, I went to a top-rated engineering school. Then I went to grad school. Now I work in research. I get a lot of exposure to smart/bright/clever people... and I get a lot of exposure to complete morans.

In that way, ATOT fits in well to my little world.


I generally prefer the company of non-technical wimmenz.

Typically it is the dumbasses who have drug problems and end up spending time in jail.
 
People on ATOT are definitely smarter on average than the general population (if we disregard P&N), I agree with that. My guess is it's just the nature of the forum, being a tech forum and all.
 
Never saw anyone post a picture of their turd on an online forum except for you. I'd have to say that if you're clever where you live, I don't think that I'd ever want to know anyone there.

Plus, it's easy to make pithy remarks when you can proofread yourself to create the perfect turn of phrase. You can take all the time you need to decide whether it would be more appropriate to call someone a douchebag or douchenozzle.

Most people are really, really, incredibly dumb. Computer geeks tend to be a bit smarter. But there are still plenty of retards here. Just turn off your monitor, look into the screen, and they appear.
