Cool story bro.

Why is a computer forum on the internet the first place you run to register and ask this question when you should be picking up a fucking phone book?

Jesus christ.

See if you can find out what brand of laminate that is and replace it yourself, not that hard to do, wait to replace until you move out.

Looks like it was not installed properly. There should be a 1/4" gap between the laminate flooring and the wall to allow for expansion and contraction. Looks like the laminate floor expanded and did not have room to move so it buckled. That is why they call it a floating floor.

Because if my extensive lurking on anandtech has taught me anything, its to complain here with every one of life's problems. I just want to know what caused it, not what to fucking do. I've already taken care of what to do.

The "what to do" should have been a professional who should be able to explain "what caused it."
