One of my friends is trying to get enough votes to win $50k for a cross-country bike ride. Their own network of people moved them up quite a few places, but they are in ~49th last I heard. I need the ATOT effect to help my friend's bike group win!

I think that your humor meter is broken. I think that if he made a case why people should should vote for this person, he would have more success in getting people to vote.

A little more background would be helpful. Is there some compelling reason for her to want to ride cross-crounty? Has she had to overcome any obstacles to do this trip? I think you get the idea.

vote for the person.. or dont... noone gives a shit what you do... but telling someone they need to justify why you should, reeks of arrogance.

if you have a reason to vote for someone else... do it.
if you dont want to vote... dont.

Of course it's not necessary, but it would be helpful he would like strangers to go out of their way and make an effort to vote for his friend.

I'm missing how that's being arrogant? It seems like common sense to me.

If you didn't, would have been more inclined to vote for this person if the OP gave you a good reason other than this person was his friend?

So.. if one of your family(mother... father... cousin) came up to you and said "reverend phineas.... can you do me this favor... " you would want them to justify themselves to you?

This is what the "ATOT Effect" is.... ATOT is a family... a disfunctional family... but a family... and if someone requests ATOT Effect... we do.
