I have a friend whose daughter is in need of some votes to win a scholarship and it would be greatly appreciated if you could take a second to click the link and vote for her, no registration or anything like that required.

This is the email I received from him:

The most votes scores a $1000 scholarship. You can vote once a day, for as many days as you would like.

Look my kid is a honors student, a cheerleader, and overall a good kid. Never had detention, doesn't do drugs, and loves to sing. As a parent, of course I think she is great, but she has been accepted by Kent Henry to sing at the school in St Louis, he thinks the same as me. She is involved in many things that doesn't score her any $. So she is going to summer school to graduate early and attend a music school in St. Louis. It isn't free, however we are not asking for your money just a vote. So if you can please check out the website which takes you directly to her picture and you will see a vote button, please help her and me out if you would. Thanks!!"

You know, I have never thought about that. I just usually vote and go on, but that is a good question. I am sure somebody on here will have a good answer for it, but I am not looking to try to turn this into a religion thread.

Voted.

ATOT effect demands a vote. Sometimes a few.

I also wonder about these religious ATOT Effect requests lately. Oh well, I can't deny them their vote :) ATOT Effect has been requested, so I must vote lol.

George W appealed to the religious right and look how many votes he got. Religion is to some as sex is to others - it sells.

Voted. Always happy to help the kids out, no matter where their religious, sexual, or political allegiances may lie.

Lets see if we can bump the vote count up over 100, currently sitting at 71 votes from anandtech, and you can vote once per day.

Voted, but I did find both her description and the website itself a little strange.
