ATOT Effect needed: Test our lastminute search

ndee

Lifer
Hi there,
we've setup a new server for our lastminute search and before it goes public, we wanna test it's speed. If you guys could go to http://lastminute.travelindex.ch/lastminute.asp , I would be very thankful. If you could do a couple of searches for places like "Ayia Napa" or London or just something you can think of, it would be really cool. Could you also post how fast it "feels"? Like, if the search results return quick, etc. You might add following line to your hosts-file "62.12.131.58 lastminute.travelindex.ch". That is only because the updated DNS entry might not be updated yet.

Thanks for your time!

Link broken?

no, you might add that entry to your hosts-file. It is located in C:\Windows\System32\etc\drivers\hosts .

Ah, sorry clicked it too fast and didn't read instructions.

no prob 😉

Wow thats really s-l-o-w :Q

ASP# huh?

SHUX

Check http://lastminute.travel.ch/ that is how it was before.

I get the following message
"Lastminute Suchresultate von Paris
Sie haben keine Resultate erhalten weil..."
for Paris, Florida, Gambia, London, Acapulco, Zermatt.

I did get a response for Rhodos and Kreta. Page load was speed pretty speedy for Rhodos, Kreta took about 10 seconds. Mind you, I'm in Japan.

OK, so they have no offers for those cities then. Try Mallorca or Spanien or something. 10 Seconds? Hhhhmmmmm, seems kinda slow IMO but maybe it's really because you are in Japan. What kinda connection do you have?

Okay, tried Mallorca, Spanien and Ibiza, this time the page load time was roughly 5 seconds. We're on an super fast connection, I regularly get around 2 MB/s (that's megaBYTES per sec) download speeds from MS and Apple servers.

OK. Thanks for the time! Our goal is it to bring the time to 1 second.

Took about 1-1.5 seconds here to do a search on "London". Although, I couldn't tell what I was reading or whether the search worked...
