EDIT @ 06/21/07: It took a couple of weeks for them to tally the "scores" but my friend pulled out the win!! Thanks a lot guys!

His official loot includes the autographed guitar, an autographed poster, and autographed Bam Volume 1 CD (the new album), and an autographed drumhead. I showed him this thread and the great support you guys gave, and told him he needed to sign up and thank you guys. :)

I'll get a picture of him with the guitar and post it here when he gets it.

Hey guys. I've had the privledge of helping out many people over the years with the infamous ATOT effect, and now for the first time, I hope to get a few clicks in return.

This is for a close friend that I've had since high school, and one of his favorite bands in the past couple of years is Sister Hazel. They are currently holding a contest to see who can get the most clicks, and the grand prize is a signed guitar from the band. After talking with him about it, I can tell he really wants this, and our group of friends is doing all we can to help him out.

I didn't mention anything about coming here, because I'm hoping you guys can help me out and surprise him with a blow-out win. At the moment I type this, he has somewhere around 110 clicks so far. I'm not sure when the contest ends, but I'll get that out of him and post back here.

Doing this is simple, just click on the link at the bottom of this post. He tells me that rapid clicking doesn't work, only a click "every few minutes" or so. When you click the link, just pay no attention to the marketing for the band, you don't have to buy any of that crap on the site.

Thanks a ton guys!

EDIT @ 9:40am on 5/4/07: I casually asked my friend this morning about a leaderboard or anything, and he said that there isn't one that he knows of. However, as of about 8am this morning, he already had around 550 clicks! That's a quick jump from just over 100 when I posted this last night. He never asked or expressed interest in how his click count jumped so high so quickly :D.

I forgot to ask about the end of the contest, I'll get that later.

EDIT @ 12:10am on 5/5/07: We're up over 750 clicks now. Contest ends June 4th. I don't expect everyone to actually keep up with it that long, but I appreciate anything you do.

EDIT @ 7:20pm on 5/5/07: As of around 3:30pm this afternoon, he was up to 1,250 clicks.

EDIT: At some point on May 12th, he had around 3,700 clicks. He said that the last contest that they had (6 months ago) was won with around 4,000 clicks, although that was for various signed items, nothing as big as a guitar.

EDIT @ 05/31/07: As of 8pm this evening, he has 4279 clicks. The contest ends on Tuesday, June 5th. He said that there is a message board where a lot of "contestants" post, and a lot of them aren't even close to where he's at right now.

EDIT @ 06/05/07: Apparently the contest ended yesterday, the 4th, not today. So, I'm awaiting the results.

EDIT @ 06/21/07: It took a couple of weeks for them to tally the "scores" but my friend pulled out the win!! Thanks a lot guys!

Good question, I'll find out tomorrow if they exist somewhere. My friend has an account that he logs into to find his click count.

Thanks a lot guys, feel free to come back to this thread periodically and vote again with a click.

You asked nicely and you're trying to do something nice for a friend. That's worth a click.

If It's good enough for kranky to click, then it's good enough for me to click.

Uhhhh, hang on a second... "He tells me that rapid clicking doesn't work, only a click "every few minutes" or so." Are you telling me that we can vote more than once??!

If that's the case, then it's a piece of cake to write your own webpage that automatically refreshes itself every (how ever frequently we can click) - 500 people loading that page into the background will generate 500 clicks every x number of minutes. ATOT effect with a bit of a tech edge is even more fun to jump on the bandwagon for!

(oh, and Done. :) )
