ATOT Chefs: What the hell should I make for my cooking class?

he;lp

Okay, here's the situation. I have 2 missing labs in my cooking class, and I need to make them up to get an A, since I need a GPA boost and I will get sorely laughed at if I got a "B" in food production. Therefore, I have a chance to make them up by bringing something in to cook tomorrow. Now, since I actually have to put some effort into it, I want to make something half decent and edible while getting an "A" at the same time. My problem lies in trying to figure out something to make, so I come to AT for suggestions.

I'm thinking about making some sort of entree, so that I don't have to get lunch, or perhaps a sheet of cookies. Now, before you guys suggest Lobster Thermidor or Beef Wellington, keep this in mind: Whatever i'm cooking has to be able to be cooked in under 45 minutes, can't be really expensive, and should be relatively easy/simple to make. I'm not bringing in a 5 pound bag of boneless skinless chicken breasts or a prime rib or a wheel of gouda in my backpack. I'm really hoping there will be some ATOT people who can cook something besides grilled cheese with a laundry iron.

Homemade pizza?
Casserole?
Stew?

Corn dogs?

* 1 Cup Yellow Cornmeal
* 1 Cup Sifted Flour
* 2 Tsp. Baking Powder
* 1 Tsp. Salt
* 1 Egg
* 3/4 Cup Evaporated Milk
* 1/2 Cup Water
* Beef Hot Dogs

# Mix All Ingredients Thoroughly.
# Place Skewers Into The Hot Dogs
# Dip Hot Dogs In Batter Until Well Covered.
# Deep Fry Or Use A Skillet Which Can Hold Approximately 3 Inches Of Oil.
# Cook Until Golden Brown
Batter Will Cover 12 Hot Dogs.

Pasta. Omelet. Croque Monsieur (that's a french-toasted ham and cheese sandwich).

Of course, you can't go wrong with a sheet of chocolate chip cookies.

Just throw a bunch of sh_t in a bowl with some beef, thyme, garlic, and shallots. Give it some dumb ass Frenchie name, and Viola!

Done deal.

I said "edible".

You ever eat a burger? You know what really goes in hamburger? I dunno about you, but for lips and assholes, it tastes pretty damn good after they add some spices.

You just have to get creative. Gourmet cooking is 99.9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% creativity.

What should you make?

Watch it wiggle! See it jiggle! Cool and fruity!

Yeah, there are a lot of jokes that could follow that...

Lasagna, except the bake time is about an hour.

Enchiladas are fast enough, bake time is 20 minutes though you need to cook the meat first (or use something like Louis Rich? pre-cooked chcken strips). mmmm, Enchiladas.

If you give up on the edible part, there's always Homer's patented Moon Waffle.
