I have about 25 DLT IV tapes I need to degauss and I need them pretty quick, so I don't want to send them off to get them done. Hoping to drop it off somewhere and pick them back up.

I can not find anyplace local in Charlotte that does this. I have cold-called every number out of the phone book. Anyone local to Charlotte know where I can get this done?

Gastonia would be fine too. I live in York and work in Rock Hill so either one would be great for me.

I live right over the line from you in Shelby. Wish I could help you out but I don't know of any places that will do that around here.

It's a true PITA. Our DLT8000 drive broke and we bought a brand-new 2k Quantum DLT1 superloader only to find out we need to degauss all of our dlt8000 tapes to have them read in a DLT1 drive. Our Exchange server isn't getting good backups anymore 🙁...
