What are your thoughts on ATOT having it's own BT tracker by which we can distribute files? Personally, I think it's a great idea, and would take the load off of a central ATOT FTP (i've been informed we still have one, but I have no clue where it is).

Yeah, that's what I was concerned about, but it wouldn't be a problem with legit files. If I remember correctly though, the ATOT FTP had TV shows on it, etc -- which would result in bad attention.

Edit: just thought it might be a good solution for uncopyrighted music/videos/etc for things that go down due to ATOT effect

Well, since it's not hosting any files, that could work (though, it could be against FIOS' TOS almost certainly). Maybe someone that has a dedicated server in someplace like Russia or something could work :D

That I don't know. I've heard reports in other threads that it's still up, but I have no clue where it is or who's hosting it.

this one is special since everyone wil share files. yet it will get way too out of hand.

it needs to be a unofficial server, don't associate the atot name with it.

that's actually a good idea. if it were to recieve too much scrutiny, i wouldn't want Anandtech having to deal with it AT ALL. we could call it the TOTA BT tracker :)
